This is a non-fiction book about Brittany Carson's life experiences. The Chosen One is a great book to read and learn from. In this book she explains most of her experiences of the ups and downs she has came across in her life. When going through the downs and darkness of life she still managed to get through to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Many things made an attempt to break her down, but she would not let them keep her down for long. While being thrown different kind of obstacles that life brought her she became lost and in reoccurring pain. That hurt and pain had built up over the years from what she had experienced. After having an unexpected experience she changed to become a better person, became awakened to the world around her, and herself. She started to break through the generational issues that were passed down to her from her family not knowing that she would make it through. When changing her mind set to being more determined, optimistic, open minded, positive, and fearless a good impact was brought upon her life. She began to become her true, real, and authentic self. Brittany Carson is living proof that no matter what obstacles life throws your way or what you may go through in life you can get through it. There are times in life where everyone will face challenges. You have to believe and be determined that you can make it through the tough times. On the other side of those tough times brings you more strength, peace, happiness, and knowledge.
Category: Books“Dare to Be Different” is Brittany C. Carson’s motto. Born in Spartanburg, South Carolina, as the second of three children, Brittany was an energetic and precocious child. She experienced many ups and downs as an adolescent growing up in the projects. But at a young age, she discovered a passion that kept her out of the streets: the game of basketball. Brittany began playing at 8 years old, and found that she not only had a love for the game, but talent as well. She was so outstanding at the point guard position that she was recruited directly to Spartanburg High School’s varsity basketball team when she was still in middle school. She scored 1,000 points before she was even a senior. Because she was a gifted scholar as well, Brittany was awarded athletic and academic scholarships to Spartanburg Methodist College. Soon after, however, obstacles arrived: A recurring knee injury cut her collegiate athletic career short. Brittany did not let that deter her, however. Intelligent and determined, she transferred to Limestone College and turned her focus to academics. She quickly excelled. Brittany consistently made the Honor Roll and Dean’s List, before graduating cum laude in spring 2013 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science and Information Systems Security. At the young age of 22, Brittany experienced a spiritual awakening. She began to see life differently, change in positive ways, and became a voracious consumer of inspirational content. She began to study thought leaders, seek spiritual knowledge, and purpose. Brittany began a journey of self-development that is shaping her life mission. Brittany was previously a support systems analyst in the IT industry. At 25 years old, she is a lifelong native of Spartanburg, SC. She desires to be a leader, source of inspiration in her community, and around the world. She wants to become a basketball coach and eventually open her own business as a life coach. Brittany describes herself as an empathetic person who loves to help people. To this end, she is a certified Life Coach. Her message is that no matter what you’ve endured, you can always reconnect with your true self and live authentically. Brittany has published and wrote her own book. The Chosen One is Brittany’s first book, but it won’t be her last. She is also a public speaker, sharing her story on the path to following her heart and the wisdom that she has been blessed with.
