This is me, Maira, a woman, daughter, sister, aunt, friend, but above all, a dedicated mother and wife to my home and family! Maira, that little girl who, since she can remember, has been clipping and cleaning her father's nails and loved painting the nails of my mother’s friends! The one who once went through intense pain when she went to the doctor to have her ingrown toenail removed and didn’t want to go through that pain again. Maira, who arrived in the United States full of dreams but never imagined she would fulfill her biggest dream at that time, which was to be just a nail technician, then have the pleasure of becoming a nail instructor at the school from which she graduated, thanks to an angel who once gave her a class to replace her teacher and told her, "My girl, one day you will go far because of the effort you put into your studies" (Mrs. Letty!). Then I became part of a beautiful team with an excellent director (Marylin) at Cuccio, a great brand that has taught me so much and to whom I owe much of my knowledge! After this, I thought there was nowhere else to go; I continued working with my clients, sometimes doing it more as a hobby until one day a great desire began. For a long time, it felt distant; my husband and I worked hard until one day we saw an opportunity. With a lot of fear but great faith, we put our effort into starting. It wasn’t easy at all; despite having my loyal clients, creating a space filled with love and commitment for each one was a challenge. My knowledge and passion for my career speak through my work, but we needed to get to know more than just those loyal clients! The challenge was to get through the first three months, then six, and before we knew it, we reached our first year in this space filled with love, care, understanding, and respect for my clients and my profession. Understanding not only their tastes but also combining them with the needs of each one, the endless battles with people who argue about why a product is or isn't good until they give themselves the luxury of listening and trying to realize that it's not a product; it's the technique used that makes the difference. Sharing coffee, tea, water, or sweets, and listening to my clients with that calmness that comes from knowing they are heard and understood without being judged! The beautiful thing is that on this journey in the lovely world of nails, someone once told me, "You will never grow old as long as you keep working with so much love and respect for your profession as you do!" Today I understand their words; it is an honor and pride to be part of this great dream as the owner and creator of this lovely brand that carries my greatest treasure. My daughters. N.V Nails Studio; this name was never difficult to find(Nicole and Valerie my girls names). I always wanted to give recognition to my treasure and at the same time remember that these girls are my biggest motivation to see myself every day as my best competition! Each day a new client arrives and feels so comfortable and trusts me to the point of being able to say, "Do what you think is best for me and my nails" is my greatest reward! Of course, those recommendation messages left on my pages never fail to make me feel like the luckiest woman!
