About Me

Gladys Mezrahi, was born and raised in Colombia, where she launched her entrepreneurial journey with Advanced Cosmetics, a company she successfully led for 15 years before selling it to a major skincare corporation. Her career then evolved into Private Wealth Management at Pioneer International, but her true calling emerged through her passion for Marketing Through Events. This led to the creation of Indigo Events, where she has worked with prominent clients including Visa, the Miami International Book Fair, the Related Group, The Disney Institute, the Organization of American States, the Museum of Modern Art in Colombia, Komatsu, Aish, among others.

Gladys is also known today as the founder and driving force behind The Power of the Heels Foundation, an international movement and non-profit organization dedicated to empowering young women and girls through education, mentorship, and opportunity. The foundation empowers women and young girls to own their voices, elevate their value, and transform their lives and their communities. Gladys has championed a more inclusive and equitable world for women. As a bold advocate and mentor, she breaks barriers and opens doors through advocacy, narrative building, partnerships and collaborations, always driven by one core belief: when women rise, communities thrive.

Her commitment to impact extends far beyond the boardroom. Gladys has raised over $5 million for children in need, championed non-profits such as JAFCO, WIZO, WOMENS FUND MIAMI-DADE among many others.  She served as past president of NAWBO and was publicly elected as Commissioner for the City of Aventura. She is also the co-founder of B2E, an educational seminar program, and launched the Aventura Chapter of Pandemic of Love during the COVID-19 crisis to connect resources with those in need.

Her work and influence have been recognized in various media, and she was named one of the 2016 International Business Women of the Year by the Organization of Women in International Trade. She was also honored with a Florida Senate Proclamation and received the Event Marketing of the Year award.

Gladys is the award-winning author of “More Wow and Less Oops” and co-author of the bestselling leadership book “Sumarium – Liderazgo Efectivo.” As the host of the TV show “El Poder de los Tacones”, airing on RCN Internacional, she was able to bring powerful stories and timely issues to thousands of viewers, amplifying the voices of women making a difference.

She has been appointed to serve as a Miami-Dade County Hispanic Affairs Advisory Board and member on the Advisory Board of the FIU Chaplin School of Hospitality & Tourism Management, continuing to mentor the next generation of women in the event industry and leaders who are shaping a more inclusive future.

Through all her professional success, Gladys considers her greatest accomplishment to be her family. Raising two incredible children, Debbie and Nessim, and five beautiful grandchildren alongside her husband Samuel, her partner of over 40years.
