Yeardley Smith is known for her role as Lisa Simpson on the animated television series “The Simpsons.” She became an actress in 1982 after graduating from drama school. In 1987, she auditioned for the Simpsons shorts on “The Tracey Ullman Show.” In 1989, the shorts became a spin off and “The Simpsons” was born. Yeardley received a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance in 1992. She has appeared in several films, including “Just Write,” “Toys,” “City Slickers,” and “As Good as It Gets.” In 2004, Yeardley performed a one-woman off-Broadway show, called “More” in New York City.
