I’m Yajaira Adamo, but friends, like yourself, call me Yaya. I am a photographer that’s all about who you are and wanting to get to know you! It brings me so much joy capturing special moments in family’s milestones. It is within these moments I am able to capture the essence of one’s self and uniqueness in the moment. I am all about being yourself and who you are, so don’t worry about trying to be perfect, because there is no such thing. So I encourage you to own it, love it, and flaunt it and we will have a great time in your session. I’m a mom of two beautiful daughters, who are my world, and a wife to an amazing husband of 17 years, who continues to stand by my side through all my crazy adventures in life. Knowing how much it means to me to capture my family moments makes me work harder for you to capture the essence of love and beauty of your family. But, most importantly, I am all about building relationships with you and really wanting to get to know the real you. I want to capture genuine shots and the special moments surrounding you so that you are able to look back and cherish those memories. You are worth celebrating because you are unique! Elegantly creating chaos using sensual Latin energy, honesty, and a passion for performing has been the central motivation, the goal, and the dream pushing Yajaira to shine her light towards those in the dark. With music being infused in her blood, Yajaira found her early inspiration promoting an intrinsic talent laden within her to pursue her natural calling. Proud of her Puerto Rican roots and coming from a military family she honed lessons of hard work, caring for others, and giving more than receiving. She traveled all over the world striving, yearning, seeking other avenues, other cultures, different modes of musical expression, and inspiration from the greats, such as Joan Sutherland, who encouraged expressionism as well as the expansion of vocal ranges, timeless countryman Rafael Hernandez who illuminated the foundation and structure of songwriting, blues icons Nina Simone, Billy Holiday, and Ella Fitzgerald whose voices and words echoed pain, truth, and hope; to multi-faceted artists like Marc Anthony, Jennifer Lopez, and Shakira who breathed sensual and desirous life into their music. Taking these lessons and moving fearlessly one step at a time onto the high school stage Yajaira found her home, her place of comfort, her lighthouse which would allow her to bring home those who could not be found. Those high school performances carved a path leading towards the University of North Carolina at Greensboro where Yajaira laid down structural foundations which would eventually teach her how to animate into existence her quirky, funny, confident, and beautifully anarchic sound which she put on display while performing for radio station FM 95.5 in North Carolina and finding herself later in the New Year’s Entertainment Event in Dallas and performed at the Dallas House of Blues. It was at this time she learned to share her words, and positive vibes. She passed her message of love for others and for yourself, because you are who you are meant to be, who you were born to be, who others who truly are allowed to see you will adore. A movement from deep within, a sense of community, a welling of pride, an urge to encourage, and push the world and those in it to make this human condition just a little easier. This sensation, this impression is one Yajaira would like to leave on those who not only hear her music but feel it; leaving them almost helpless to embrace every moment that each breath of life brings. In her music she represents the broken, the disenchanted, the disenfranchised who have heard the ridicule and vile spit from a world which can be unrelenting and utterly daunting. She creates for you. She illuminates your beautifully unique qualities in order to transform all of those thoughts of incompetence, awkwardness, and inadequacy in order to leave you Elegant Chaos.
