(Union Officer)

About Me

Wenomia Goodrum is a retired nationally elected labor leader, union activist, and author with more than four decades of experience in public service and advocacy. She previously served as National Vice President of the National Council of Field Labor Locals (NCFLL), a bargaining council representing employees within the U.S. Department of Labor.  She is President of AFGE Local 2519, a role she has  held since 2010. Her work centers on equity, worker protections, leadership accountability, and building sustainable systems that honor dignity and fairness.

Wenomia is a Christian author, speaker, and transformational voice committed to helping women reclaim their identity through faith, discipline, and intentional growth. She is the author of Becoming Me Again, a powerful memoir that chronicles her journey of emotional healing, spiritual renewal, and losing over 80 pounds — not just physically, but mentally and spiritually. Her work speaks to the woman who has poured into everyone else and is ready to return to herself without guilt or apology. As the founder of Ever Becoming Press, she is building a multi-book ecosystem focused on faith-based personal growth. Her forthcoming release, Becoming Me Again: The Reclaiming, expands the journey into deeper conversations about identity, boundaries, discipline, and “safe love.”Wenomia is also a dynamic workshop facilitator and conference speaker, leading women’s conferences, church trainings, and leadership sessions centered on spiritual maturity, emotional wholeness, and becoming an example for God (1 Timothy 4:7). Her mission is clear. Transformation is not about perfection. It is about formation and it is never too late to become whole — again.

Through writing, speaking, and mentorship, she works to bridge advocacy with personal transformation—reminding individuals and communities that growth and justice are deeply connected. Whether in the union hall, the community, or on the page, her work is grounded in integrity, courage, and a commitment to leaving every space stronger than she found it.
