About Me

Throughout my life, my mother has been my greatest source of inspiration and guidance. Her unwavering support and wise words played a pivotal role in shaping who I am today. From an early age, I understood the importance of education, viewing it as a foundation for my dreams and aspirations. Her voice echoed in my mind guiding me and keeping me focused, even during the most challenging times.

Tragically, I lost my mother during my sophomore year of college. Her absence left a deep void, and I fell into a state of depression, questioning whether I could continue. Despite the pain and doubt, I found the strength to persevere. I completed college, carrying her memory with me and the lessons she had imparted.

Moving to Dayton, Ohio, I began my career as a special educator, committed to making a difference in children's live. Later, I moved to Fort Worth, Texas and then to New Haven, Connecticut. It was during my time teaching in New Haven that my artistic skills truly flourished. Art became a sanctuary and a source of healing, allowing me to express my emotions and keep my mother's spirit alive. My hobbies flourished in making decorative baskets, floral arrangement,  too dressing teddy bears. Acquaintances and friends began requesting items and decorations for holidays and special events. I began creating themes for wedding reception and birthday parties. I often felt that she was there, cheering me on from beyond, her presence guiding me through every challenge and success. Especially during the, time I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis and other Polyosteoarthritis and began to have severe pain in my joints and my hands. Moving forward, I became a member of the CT Bead Society where my jewelry making skills flourished, winning 1st place in 2009/ 2010and 2nd place in 2012 for one of a kind designs. My mother shaped my character, nurtured my talents, and inspired my dedication to education and my artistic expression.

Today, I am grateful for her legacy, which continues to inspire me to this day. Her spirit remains a constant reminder that perseverance, creativity and love are the keys to moving forward, no matter the obstacles. She is the silent mentor whose voice continues to motivate me everyday.
