About Me

Hailing from Paterson, NJ, Tiona D. Harris is a freight train overloaded with artistic versatility, endless aspirations, and dreams she hopes to achieve in her lifetime. She graduated with her A.A. in Psychology from Passaic County Community College before continuing her education by completing a dual B.A. degree in Psychology and English-Writing concentrations in literature and writing, with a minor in Women & Gender Studies from William Paterson University. Tiona continued her education by earning her MFA in Creative and Professional Writing and her M.A. in Clinical and Counseling Psychology License from WPU. Tiona continued her transition into higher education, mental health, and wellness by becoming an Adjunct Professor within the Developmental Studies Department at Passaic County Community College, an Adjunct Professor within the Language, Literature, Culture, and Writing Department at WPU, and by being the Grant Wellness Coordinator for the Counseling Health & Wellness Center at WPU while gaining her credentials to become a future LPC. She has had multiple pieces of her work published in Harness Magazine and Verve Romance titled: Accepting the Reality of Your 20s. She plans on releasing her first self-publication under the pin name Tiona H. Sapphire via Kindlev Vella titled The Volkov Brava: Kasimir and adding onto her finished manuscript, Tri-State Mafia: Makayo; she is currently working on her second book within the TSM series. On any given day, you will find her reading for fun, writing prose, mentoring students, lecturing, and dabbling in poetry to express herself while painting and singing at the top of her lungs when the mood strikes.
