I never sought out doing hair, however, I put my whole heart into everything I do, because of my tenacity and determination to learn. Hair has become my first passion, opening doors and allowing me to network with like minded people across the world in the beauty industry. Currently I am the Louisiana State Beauticians & Barbers Association Inc. President. In the last two years my organization, which is an educational institute, has been recognized by the Louisiana Cosmetology Board as a continuing educational component for all licensed beauty instructors across the state of Louisiana. I work in the office of the National Beauty Culturists' League as a liaison to the students. I also input grades. There is a National Sorority. I serve as the 2nd Anti-Basileus of the Theta Nu Sigma National professional hair sorority. We have students, members, Sorors and fraternity members across the world from other countries. I have enjoyed my many years growing and meeting like minded people in the industry. I have one 22 year old son who is in the Army serving our country, alone with his new bride. His name is Tye Armstead. His bride’s name is Shania. I grew up and an only child with many first cousins. Early into young adulthood I found that I had eight brothers and sisters. Which, I welcomed after being an only child. My parents have recently celebrated their 48 Anniversary. They raised me to the best of their ability. I am very passionate about any challenge I embark on.
