About Me

I have been teaching Phlebotomy for about 8 years now. I started back in 2012 when I noticed how cool phlebotomy was. It was the skill set and the environment that drew me closer to choosing my path in the medical field. The path to starting this journey was pressed upon me at an early age. I knew this was a calling that gave me a funny feeling in my tummy, a pull-like feeling like in movies. The first time I saw it done at my job, I was working at a nursing home as a CNA years ago. I would like to say the medical field, my fellow co-workers, just working in the medical field brought upon the passion I have come to grow and love for teaching/working as a phlebotomist. I loved it so much I want other people to have the same opportunities or have the same passion for something or have the same strive I have in my career. I love doing what I do, it brings me joy and happiness to my soul and my day-to-day steps to being a better person. The reason why I am so passionate about my dream is that we phlebotomists are the first, beginning, and the end of life when it comes to knowing about people internally. We test the mother before the child comes into this world and before the Dr. greets and meets the patient. We start a natural bond with our clients and the patients or whoever we meet. We give the patients the feeling of safety and professionalism. I genuinely believe phlebotomy is under-classed and underrated and not promoted enough. COVID has opened people’s eyes and helped them realize that phlebotomy is very much needed. I believe in my school. Phlebotomy has so many outlets to being something other than just a phlebotomist the education keeps going there is an overflow of knowledge to be had. Working as a phlebotomist is not work at this point it's more of a passion. There are a lot of people in the world that don't like what they doing in life. I refuse to live that way and phlebotomy has always been my backbone. It's only right to spread the love and the knowledge of the beginning of life inside the body. Phlebotomy excites me! It makes me want to do even better teaching and performing it better every time. I want to make phlebotomy great.
