My name is Sheena M. Chavarria, and I am the founder of Community Bridge Advocacy LLC, a Southern New Mexico-based business dedicated to helping individuals with autism and their families navigate education, accommodations, resources, and the transition into adulthood.
As the mother of two daughters with autism, my passion for advocacy is deeply personal. I started Community Bridge Advocacy because I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to navigate services and systems while simply trying to make sure your child is heard, understood, and given the opportunities they deserve. I wanted to use my lived experience, education, professional background, and advocacy training to help other families feel supported and empowered.
Community is also a huge part of who I am. I am involved with The Association and the Las Cruces Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, where I have been able to build relationships with local businesses, organizations, and community leaders. I believe real change happens through collaboration, which is why I am passionate about bringing organizations together to strengthen autism awareness, advocacy, resources, and support throughout Southern New Mexico.
I am proud to continue giving back in different ways, including participating as a model in Rock the Runway benefiting Hearts for Autism and being involved with Celebrity Waiter benefiting El Caldito Soup Kitchen.
Whether through my business, professional work, or volunteering, my goal remains the same: to advocate, connect people with resources, strengthen my community, and help create a Southern New Mexico where every individual and family has the opportunity to be heard and supported.
