About Me

Shavell Rice is the fifth child of five children, born September 12th, 1964 in Starkville, MS. She is the daughter of the late B.L.and Gracie Tucker Logan. She is a 1982 graduate of B.L. Moor High School. Savell Rice is a former supervisor at Mississippi State University Custodial Service for 11 years. She received a Diploma in Child Care Career Skills with Honors from Ashworth College located in Norcross, GA, a Diploma in Child Day Care Management, September 5th, 2017 and a Teacher's Aide Diploma 2016, from Stratford Career Institute and an Associate of Theology Degree with Honors in 2016 from Slidell Baptist Seminary in New Orleans, LA. She is a certified teacher in the Gethsemane Mt. Moriah District Association. She is the Minister of Music, Educational Director, and the Director of the "Daughters of Deborah Women's Ministry" empowering women to walk in their divine destiny with courage, commitment and character. Shavell is the Founder of the I Am Somebody Restoration Outreach, and the Women and Children Destiny Foundation (reaching, touching and changing lives with a heart of compassion and love.) She is married to Rev. Jimmy Rice(Pastor of Fourth St. M.B. Church, Columbus, MS.) for 38 Years. She is the mother of 5 children in which one is deceased (Beverly Lataris Rice) and three grandchildren. Most of all she is a born again Christian and enjoys working alongside my husband in the ministry.
