Selena is President of Lagniappe Writers Workshop which is a virtual non-profit organization dedicated to donating a portion of our proceeds from the sale of literature to support the mental health community. She earned her undergraduate degrees from the University of Southern Mississippi where she double-majored in Elementary Education and Reading Specialist. She earned her Masters from Grand Canyon University. In 2019, she had two books published: a children's book, "Mike at the Aquarium," and a coming of age novel, "It's A Mendose Thang: RoJoe's Dilemma." She recently retired as a high school English teacher. Now, Selena endeavors to assist individuals with mental health challenges through her writings by means of the Lagniappe Writers Workshop.
