Dr. Richarne Fuqua affectionately known as Dr. Shawn, The LPC. is a Licensed Professional Counselor, author, speaker, and mental health advocate whose goal is making sure people understand mental health is mental wealth. Dr. Shawn comes with 20+ years as a licensed professional counselor; the owner of her practice by the same as she focuses on the mother/daughter relationship. She is the co-founder of the Licensed Professional Counselor training the next generation of therapists with culturally competent mental health practices and research. Dr. Shawn has studied African American women and the mother-daughter relationship and has worked with women of all ages. She quickly learned a woman needs a safe place to release her concerns and fears, be understood and heard. Dr. Shawn has seen results with evidence-based treatments and wants others to know “healing is possible.”
