A mother of three sons, grandmother of two granddaughters and one grandson. The oldest sibling of three sisters, reared in a single parent home in the Algiers-Westbank area of New Orleans, LA. Educated in New Orleans Public schools, and a graduate of Oliver Perry Walker Sr. High School. Went on to pursue a bachelor of science degree in Business Management from Southern University A&M College, then a masters degree in Urban Education from Southern University at New Orleans, and currently pursuing another masters degree in Public Administration at Walden University. Has been a mathematics and recently a college readiness educator in secondary level schools for 22 years. A dedicated member of numerous social organizations within the city of New Orleans, and a diligent mentor to youth throughout the city. An esteem advocate of academic assistance to students with parents incarcerated and rendering job skill training and placement of ex-convicts after release from prison.
