As a junior high student I've always enjoyed poetry and writing compositions. To some it was a nuisance, but to me it was a breeze and a fun way to express myself. To my surprise, an English teacher recognized my talent and honored me in the school's local newspaper one semester. Literary awards followed, and from that point on, I knew I wanted to become an author. In 2002, I wrote my first novel which was divided into four parts during its publishing process which occurred in mid 2014, thus making it a series. Then in October 2017, after birthing (5) babies, a divorce, and surviving an emergency brain surgery, I added an additional volume - 'VM5: Nothing But The Truth'. The series was then completed ... ...This particular novel I created in honor of domestic violence survivors & the unforgotten fallen victims.
