I am a Breast Surgical Oncology Nurse Practitioner and ASBrS Certified Nurse Practitioner with more than 16 years of oncology experience. My career has been dedicated to providing comprehensive, compassionate, and evidence-based care to patients facing breast cancer and breast disease, supporting them through diagnosis, treatment, surgery, recovery, and survivorship.
In my current role, I specialize in the clinical management of benign and malignant breast disease, high-risk breast cancer screening, genetic risk assessment and counseling, surgical planning, patient education, and multidisciplinary coordination of care. Beyond the clinical aspects of my work, I consider patient advocacy and education fundamental to my role. I strive to ensure that patients feel informed, supported, and empowered to participate in decisions about their health.
My passion extends beyond individual patient care to breast cancer prevention, early detection, and advancing the role of Advanced Practice Providers in oncology. I have presented at international conferences on genetic testing, high-risk breast cancer screening, and preventive care, with an emphasis on personalized risk assessment and evidence-based strategies to improve outcomes for individuals at increased risk of developing breast cancer.
Before becoming a nurse practitioner and specializing in breast surgical oncology, I spent eight years as a chemotherapy and biotherapy infusion nurse at Cedars-Sinai Tower Hematology Oncology. Caring for patients undergoing complex cancer treatments gave me an invaluable foundation in oncology, symptom management, patient education, and the physical and emotional challenges patients and their families experience throughout cancer treatment.
My experience across the cancer continuum—from systemic therapy to breast surgery, high-risk surveillance, prevention, and survivorship—has shaped the provider I am today.
