When people look at me, business owner isn’t their normal though of me. But that’s me, the owner and creator of Butter Bae Skin which started when my daughter came home from daycare on day with this strange rash that just wouldn’t go away. So we took her to the doctors and found out it was psoriasis. So we began treatments but they just didn’t work. After watching my baby girl suffer one night from an itch that would keep her awake at night, I began my research on natural ways to help her. And after months of research and trials of natural products, we found something that worked. And that something is my now All Natural Skin Care line of All Natural Body Butters. Although I had this treasure chest of goods, selling it wasn’t an idea until about five months ago. I lost my job 5 years ago when I needed to take care of my sick mother before her death due to cancer. Struggling and bills piling up, I was at lunch one day with a few friends when I finally opened up to them about my financial struggles. Brainstorming of how I could make some money, the idea of my natural skin creams came up and poof Butter Bae Skin was born. Now at 38 years old, I am starting a home based business with no experience or no how. Or at least I thought I didn’t have to know how. Little did I consider my years of researching and knowledge into the many different plants and nuts and fruits and how they can benefit the skin. So I sat down at my laptop on Feb 3, 2020 and begin googling prices of the natural butters along with the ingredients and the tools needed. I sat there for about 7 hours looking for ever single thing I would need to make my body butters in bulk. And I found everything. The next day, I sat back down at my laptop and looked over my bank account. Low on funds and with bills piling up, I took a deep breath and prayed. I took what little I had left and brought all the supplies needed. I made my first batch and posted it to my Facebook page. Within 30 minutes, I sold out my first batch. The reviews came in and everything took off from there. I started growing so fast Butter Bae Skin needed its own Facebook Page. Now still when people look at me the first thing they think still won’t be business owner but that’s me NOW.
