Michelle came to the Boston area to attend Bentley College (now Bentley University), to pursue Business Management. While hospitality was her first passion, she pursued finance upon graduation. While working her way up the corporate ladder, Michelle came to a crossroad and chose to pursue the law. Within a few months she took the LSATs and applied to law school. Michelle was accepted to her first choice, Suffolk University Law School, night program. While attending classes, Michelle worked full time as a paralegal at a boutique real estate firm on the South Shore. Upon graduation, she settled into an associate position at a boutique international tax firm located a short distance from Boston. Michelle spent over 15 years practicing international tax, income tax, tax controversy, real estate, and various other legal matters. She handled international disclosures and tax audits with the IRS along with real estate conveyancing. She joined legal, business and international organizations and has been a presenter on various international tax matters. After 10 years, Michelle was provided the opportunity to transition to an established firm in Boston, MA. While in Boston, she expanded her practice to include estate planning and probate matters. After 3 years at the Boston law firm, Michelle is excited for the opportunity to combine all her prior years' experience in business and law to serve as Tax Director and COO of Acadia Management Company, Inc.
