I worked for the US Department of Defense for over 30 years in the Washington, DC area, holding a top secret clearance. I know a thing or two about stress and trauma (the 9/11 attack on the Pentagon destroyed my first office), and that spurred me to find ways to help people. I learned hypnosis to help with the chronic pain I was experiencing—and it worked! At GMU, studies focused on trauma transformation and wellbeing. During COVID, I volunteered with the Virginia Department of Health to help Virginians during this pandemic. I think it's important to do what you can to help people.
