Lisa Jacovsky is an award-winning children’s book author and dedicated professional in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) since 2014. Her journey began working with adults in group homes, where she fostered independence and empowerment. Lisa later transitioned to working with children through in-home ABA services and early intervention, helping families navigate developmental challenges with compassion and expertise.
Since 2022, Lisa has brought her extensive experience to higher education as a professor, where she mentors the next generation of professionals in the field. She also holds micro-credentials from the ACUE (Association of College and University Educators), demonstrating her advanced training in effective teaching practices and her commitment to excellence in higher education.
Lisa’s passion for education and inclusivity extends into her writing. Her award-winning children’s books, including Spooky Ooky Halloween Party, inspire young readers to embrace diversity and kindness. She is currently the author of 10 award-winning books, half of which are illustrated by individuals with autism from the amazing organization Brainstorm Productions.
Through her career and her stories, Lisa continues to empower individuals of all ages to create a more inclusive and understanding world.
In addition, she is a doctoral candidate at Capella university. She is working on her PsyD in school psychology with a graduation date of June 2027.
