The fashion and beauty industries have been very influential in my life for decades. My fashion and beauty experience began over 36 years ago when I started working part-time as a beauty advisor in 1984 for Estee Lauder in Macy's. I also held a part-time sales associate's position at "Clothes Horse," a trendy women's clothing boutique near my home on Long Island, New York, where I was able to further develop my communication and sales skills while receiving a hand-on education about the retail fashion industry. I continued working at these positions until I started law school in 1988. After graduating law school and passing the NYS Bar Exam, I started my career as a litigation attorney. I re-entered the world of fashion, apparel and beauty ("FAB") in 2006 when I competed in my first beauty pageant. I won the title of Mrs. New York America and my life was changed forever. I realized that my heart never left the FAB world. I went on to also win the titles of Mrs. New York International 2009, Mrs. Corporate America 2013 and Ms. World Elite 2017-18. During my years of competing, I acquired a plethora of unique knowledge that covered everything from gowns to "butt glue," false lashes to hair extensions, spray tans to accessories. My SCULPTURA [Sculpt-It-Your-Way] Shapewear Dresses are a physical manifestation of the decades of these experiences and useful information I picked up along the way as a litigation attorney, businesswoman, media producer and host, speaker and international beauty queen.
