Born in Oregon, raised in Seattle and attended high school in Anaheim California.(Yes. My father was in the Navy) I have always worked in sales, but while traveling with my husband, who uses a power wheelchair, I found a real need for someone to provide information about accessible travel to the people who really need it. That is how Wheelchair Escapes was born. When I realized friends thought that was my only travel focus, I created Carefree Cruises and More to market to the able bodied community. Years later, I saw a real benefit for my clients to join Cruise Planners. (They are the largest home based travel agent franchise in the country, receiving many awards annually for being a top franchise, as well as, numerous awards in the travel industry). I have traveled to many countries on different types of trips to get to know exactly what my clients will experience. I have been to many Caribbean countries and Alaska, Mexico, Ecuador, including the Galapagos Islands, Israel, Amsterdam, Germany, France, England, Italy, Sicily, Greece, Turkey, Russia, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Estonia and South Africa. Many prospective clients think it costs extra to utilize the service of a travel professional. It does not! The vendors, for the most part, compensate us.
