I’m a very driven person. My career with Walmart was hard work but very rewarding. I was made a Support Manager my third week with the company. Applied myself and learned everything I could about our business and the store.
Then ran a few depts from Tire Lube Express to Electronics. Then was made Assistant Manager then Co Manager. If you are willing to learn and apply yourself Walmart has everything you need to know to learn your job. Nothing is handed to you, you had to know what resources to look for.
Walmart from the beginning recognized my drive to learn and work with hourly employees that I was working as Assistant Manager with keys to the store and giving directive throughout the store. Even before I actually had the title. Managers within the company all the way up to the Home Office acknowledged me with many Merit Raises and Employee of the month many times especially my first yr with the company
Anytime the company would send out new processes which is very often I was very good at figuring out everything there was about it and also my problem solving skills are very in tune that I could figure out a quicker way to get the process worked and how to work with the issues that would always arise. I ran several depts and my Inventory numbers every year was in line with company standards and better so they would use me to teach and train employees about the processes of the business. I was sent to the Home Office many times and to Inclusion meetings to future my career and I was content on to go back to my store and others and train what I had learned. My Integrity is one of my best qualities in and out of my profession and I would teach my employees how to speak to other employees and get everyone VESTED in anything that needed to be taught and never judge anyone from what they see but working with each individual to recognize their potential so everyone has a chance to succeed
