About Me

Ever since I was a little girl I had always been interested in music.  I started writing poetry at the age of eleven and wrote my first song at sixteen.  Nursing homes, churches and hospitals were places I would perform as I became older.  I noticed people liked what they heard and I was encouraged to take my talent to the next level.  My two daughters still remember going with me to visit and sing to those who had no visitors in nursing homes.  In 1989, I was offered a chance at a musical career but chose not to move forward at that time.  My daughters and their wellbeing were more important to me and I did not want to miss a moment of them growing up. Many doors were opening for me as I grew older and I moved in the direction I felt led to go.  Sept 11th, 2001 changed my life and the whole world forever.  My oldest daughter was serving in the Air Force at this time and in my worry for my daughter and our country I wrote a song titled, Stand Up America.  Never did I believe I would be asked to perform my song for former President George Bush in 2003.  I was blessed to have my youngest daughter with me to take part in this experience.  From this point on, many doors opened for me.  I received a movie contract to write and perform as a character in an animated film with a wonderful producer who now owns TW3 Entertainment.  I also won Breakthrough Country Artist of the Year in Hollywood CA and was signed to a publishing contract. In my life I have been blessed to accomplish many career goals.  Four years of ballet, writing and performing music and now writing children's books has inspired my creativity.  Women carry so much of a nurturing spirit within them, it is God given and can change the world.  I have never been  prouder to be a woman of faith, power, love and creativity.  In a world of so much change, I choose to be steadfast and a woman of courage. I have many hero's in my life, Jesus Christ, my mother and, yes, even my daughters.  We all have within us the talent and love to make a difference in a world where it seems impossible to do so.  I can tell you that walking by the lake, seeing a sunset or the smile of a child tells me there is still beauty in this life.  I am grateful that I desire to not only make a change but to be the change for a better world.
