I am a 43 year old, national crisis travel nurse. I am a mother of two amazing sons, Shay (24) and Jacob (19). Divorced. I’ve worked in health care since the age of 15, when I quit school in 9th grade due to home environment. I obtained my CNA license and the age of 15. I later had my two sons and when my youngest started kindergarten, I enrolled to take my GED at 29 years old. I passed, obtaining my GED and then enrolled into college where I studied and obtained my Associates of Science of nursing. I worked 12 years as a unit coordinator/ medical records nurse supervisor as well as, a charge nurse. I am currently working with another company as a crisis travel nurse due to the pandemic. I am currently contracted 16 hours from home and I absolutely love what I do. I feel I have overcome so many obstacles in my life but I never gave up on my dream to be where I am today. I'm a very well-established independent woman, mother and nurse. I hope to be an inspiration to others as a dream is never too late and an obstacle is never too big. My motto has always been, If I am breathing then I am achieving.
