Ms. Karen L. Kozacheck-Szevery

(Coach)

About Me

Karen started playing volleyball at Assumption Catholic Church and continued playing through 8th grade. She also played for her middle school team and a small select team for 5 years, which lead to her playing at Lindbergh High School all four years. After High school Karen played for her college volleyball team at Saint Louis Community college, then a year at SLU. When she returned home she returned back to her roots where she started coaching at Assumption Catholic Church for 3 years at the 6th, 7th and 8th grade level. Then moved on to Mary Mother of the Church for two years coaching the 7th and 8th grade level. There she would meet another director from Club Gemini where she coached for 6 years. Karen coached 11s (Gemini Zebras) 12s(Gemini Strykers) then back down to 11s(Gemini ninjas) which the following year moved her 11s(ninjas) to play 13s(Gemini Angels). She also took a 12s(Gemini Hitters) team that same year. The next year she took two 13s teams( Gemini Bombers and Gemini Hitters) and a 14s (Gemini Angels) team. In 2014-2015 she finished her last year with Club Gemini taking two 14s teams(Gemini Elites and Gemini Strikers). Karen has started to help coach with the Stratman leagues at the Center Saint Louis along with the Stratman Lindbergh league to help boys and girls learn the sport. With her volleyball community growing she decided to start her own club, summer of 2015, to better serve the needs of the girls. With the different skill levels Karen knew she could take on more to help more girls succeed and give them more opportunity. The past few years Karen has coaches more than one team and has been involved with all the K Elites VBC teams at some point and will help grow the volleyball family every year.
