Ms. Judy A. Williams

(Nurse)

About Me

My career in nursing has spanned 30 years and has opened many doors for me. Twenty of those years were spent serving veterans at the Department of Veteran Affairs.  I currently work in the NVCC Community Care Dept.  My passion is for working with veterans. During my tenure in the nursing community working with veterans, I’ve noticed there are limited resources for single female veterans and their children. The passion for empowering women began with my own life experience and my drive to help women connect the missing pieces. When I noticed the disparity in help for veteran women, the idea for the next chapter of my life was birthed: Healing Hands Care (ministry). Healing Hands Care will be a transitional home helping female veterans and their children. My goal and mission are to assist, direct and guide female veterans into complete wholeness. Healing Hands Care will help them by offering shelter from the storms of life, both spiritually and naturally. Upon retirement next year, my primary focus will be connecting the proper resources to female veterans in order to empower them to realize their full potential and succeed in life. This is my calling because I’ve been in a similar situation without being a veteran.  In the late 1980’s I had a life-changing experience, I became a divorcee with five children. With no help for me and my children; I turned to the only resource I knew, Jesus Christ, who came into my life, transformed my mind, and baptized me with the Holy Ghost. He guided me thru the pain, instructed me on how to accept the change and challenges that I had experienced. Two years later, I attended Dayton School of Practical Nursing and graduated in 1990. The experiences I had during the start of my nursing career propelled me into various aspects of the nursing world.  I became a Certified Nursing Instructor for Job Corps in Ohio, CPR instructor, IV certified, charge nurse, director of assistance living, wound nurse, and have received recognition pins (Key to my Success pins for 2 consecutive years). I am currently enrolled in classes to continue my nursing education here in Georgia. My husband, Elder Jack Williams, and I attend New Life Prophetic Outreach Ministries, in Winder, Ga. where we serve as Ordained Clergy under the tutelage of Senior Pastor Dr. Mary L. Parker and Bishop Charlie R. Parker. I work in the church and have been affectionately called Nurse Judy. I instruct on health tips and assist with all aspects of nursing within the church body. One of my favorite scripture is 3 John 1:2 states, “Beloved I wish above all I would that you prosper and be in health even as thy Soul Prosper”. This means there are a complete body, mind, and soul healing process that can happen for every person. Another favorite scripture is Psalm 139: 14 “I Praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made”.
