I am a graduate from Wayne State University with a B.S in Psychology. I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Social work at Walden University. I'm the Executive Director and Program Coordinator for Great Start Maternal Infant Health Program. Along my journey, I faced many challenges and road blocks along the way. I was 19 years old when I gave birth to my daughter and as a young mother, I was also a victim of domestic violence, received government assistance, and faced a period of homelessness with a 2 year old. With the support of the Maternal Infant Health Program, I was provided with support and guidance. I understand the struggles many families face daily. I am forever, humble, grateful and conscience of the person I am today. I am driven and determined to help others along their journey.
