The decision to start the Joe Joe Bear Foundation was very personal for Jeanette Maurer. After watching her God Son Joe battle Leukemia and experiencing his loss, she knew that carrying on his kindness and love was more important than anything else she could do. Joe Joe Bear is a part of a bigger picture, of a woman who is a mother to 3 children, a wife and also a successful business woman who owned The Promo Dude an ad specialties company since 2003. Joe Joe Bear is part of her heart, and the opportunity to carry on Joe’s memory makes this a gift not a “JOB”. In 2017 Jeanette became a Certified Grant Writer and in 2018 received a Masters Degree in Economics of Philanthropy.
