Mrs.Irene Catherine Lennon was born in Long Island City, Queens, NY, on September30, 1993. I have three siblings: Monique, Jameel, and Jerome. I spent part ofher childhood in Florida because my grandparents lived there for a little while;they came back in the late '90s. I had grown up in different parts of Queensbecause I had moved around a lot. I went to high school In Cambria Heights,Queens, for three years before transferring to an Alternative High Schoolbecause I was having my first child. I welcomed my first son on January 25,2012, naming him Isaiah; I went to work to provide for my son. The followingsummer, on July 26, 2013, I welcomed my second son, Messiah. I met my futurehusband, Vernon, in late 2014. The two began to date, and in the summer of2015, they got married on August 14, 2015. My husband and I went on to expandthe family on November 14, 2016; we welcomed our third child a little girl,named Zamira. One month after the baby’s birth, I would pick up the kids andmove to Connecticut to take care of my sick mom. My older brother, Jameel, diedsuddenly at the age of 26 in March 2018. Me, my mom, and the kids moved back toNY in 2019. I put myself back in school to finish my degree in CriminalJustice. On March 23, 2020, Irene and her husband welcomed their fourth child, anotherlittle girl, named Stormi. My mom passed away on February 7, 2021, after a longbattle with COPD. I returned to school in the summer of 2022 to finish mydegree on October 9, 2022; I earned my A.A.S. in Criminal Justice. I’m continuingmy studies at St. John’s University for my B.S. in Criminal Justice. I have twogoals; one is an educational goal is to have my Doctorate in five years and mysecond goal is to become a public speaker for mothers who suffer with mental healthand stop the criminalizing those who ask for help and to teach the youth about thecriminal justice system.
