Early on, I had an interest in the healthcare field. After starting my college career, it became a clear choice that nursing was the obvious choice. I could continuously learn, be autonomous while simultaneously working with a team, critically think, challenge myself, and help others. There are also numerous career paths once the basic nursing degree is established, giving endless possibilities for change or advancement. Upon entering the field, I gained experience in long term care, medical-surgical care, out-patient surgery, post-anesthesia care, and critical care. I grew to love the surgical aspect of nursing and wanted to continue advancing my knowledge and career in that direction. It was then I decided to investigate toward a degree in nursing anesthesia. I am eager to continue my educational path and am seeking to enter an academic relationship with a graduate program to achieve my personal and professional goals. As an elite and challenging field, nurse anesthesia has the greatest appeal for me.
