As an artist, I draw inspiration from nature. My passion for painting stems from my love for nature, as I prefer painting naturalistic landscapes that capture the world's natural beauty. The places that I have resided in and visited brought out my innate preference for natural art. I also enjoy painting symbolistic and emotive pieces. My mediums are generally acrylic and oil on substrates like canvas, wood, tiles, pebbles. I have also explored pyrography (wood-burning art) in recent years.I’m inspired by great artists around the world such as Claude Monet and Bob Ross to name a few. As observed in my captions, art, for me, has always been a way to express my emotions and thoughts through creative and individualistic means.I grew up in northeast India where nature is plentiful and mesmerizing in its rainforests and hilly terrains interspersed with valleys and plains. I have grown up admiring the beautiful and serene sunrise and sunset, cold dewy winters, and waterfalls flowing down into rivers blending with the rocks and pebbles. The beauty of nature that I witnessed all around as a child inspired me to paint landscapes.At 14, I completed a 5-year course in fine arts and painting. I was awarded first place for my accomplishment in the final year of the course by my local State Arts center. I also received various awards in different art competitions in school and college. After completing my Master's in Agricultural sciences, I moved to the USA in 2001, where I grew my painting techniques by watching artists such as Bob Ross and attending local art classes.Currently, I have a Facebook page called ‘Hearts work’ and am a member of different art-related pages where I post my paintings. I have created art pieces for different organizations, teachers, friends, and others on requests. Painting continues to be my guiding passion as I now hold art classes for local students and conduct "Paint nite's" for all age groups to spread the joy and creativity that comes with art.
