Franka Arcangeli is the founder of International Therapy Solutions (ITS), established in February of 2017, is a women owned, women led outpatient mental health treatment office for all. She was raised in a traditional Albanian household, as a child of immigrants and a first generation American, where shedding light on the significance of mental health was neglected. Despite the fact it was not accepted, this did not prevent her from persevering the need to provide therapy to those of the same culture or different, in hopes of eliminating the stigma surrounding mental health. Franka saw firsthand in her community that undermining the resources available to better one’s mental health can spiral someone into dark times. She knew social work was her true calling as she desired to be part of the solution that so many individuals deplored. As a result, she obtained her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor, and was clinically trained by the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Michigan Health System. Franka went on to complete further training in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the University of Michigan School of Social Work Michigan Health System Hospital and University of Michigan Depression Center. In respect to all that she has accomplished, Franka was prestigiously selected as a field instructor at the University of Michigan. Franka's passion for tackling mental health obstacles inspired her to support ITS by leading mental health awareness campaigns at various events. These mental health events aid Franka in accomplishing the goal of providing individuals with the knowledge and resources to combat mental health conditions. The success of ITS remains unaffected by the stigmas associated with women-owned businesses and mental health, reflecting a steadfast dedication to empowerment and destigmatization efforts within our diverse community. The office's main goal is to break down barriers to satisfy the patients' needs as we place a high degree of value on the worth of all our patients.
