Falonia C. LaMar is a native of Niagara Falls, New York, where she has served as a Substance Abuse Counselor for over 18 years. She is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Bridging Recovery Solutions Inc. Bridging Recovery Solutions Inc. is a nonprofit organization that provides support to chemically dependent males seeking reintegration support back into the community, after they have successfully completed long term substance abuse treatment. Ms. LaMar has humbly excelled in her industry by providing safe and affordable housing to the residents that BRSI serves. She also provides one-on-one counseling, building skill sets of active daily living skills, vocational and education training, job readiness, recovery sponsorship, and advocacy for residents within the legal and criminal justice system.
Ms. LaMar has provided support to over one hundred individuals seeking continual recovery support within BRSI. This was made possible by referring agencies within the Western New York Region. Along with the criminal justice system from all regional counties. She believes that her organization has been successful due to her person center approach, trauma informed care model, education, and her personal life experiences.
