About Me

I became a writer because I have no skills. There was nothing left to do but pick up a pencil and start writing. After writing radio and television commercials, and educational films, in the Midwest, it was by pure fluke that I landed jobs on the west coast, first at CBS and then with MGM Studios. My last screenplay was for the feature film "Te Ata" (2018). I will probably not write more for the motion picture industry; I'm having too much fun turning out books, mainly mysteries and faith-based, and doing public speaking. I'm living back in the Midwest now with way too many cats.

To travel to, and research, each region of the country in which a novel from the State of the Murder mystery is set, and to continue motivating and inspiring women, through keynote addresses, to reach their full potential.

Author-speaker. Primarily a mystery writer, personal experiences have led to the writing of books on life after death and faith. As women's conference keynote speaker, my subjects include overcoming life’s obstacles, life after death, book marketing and publishing. With a background that includes CBS and MGM, I have produced TV and motion pictures and was Production Coordination on numerous network television and feature films. I was screenwriter on award-winning film "Te Ata" (2017), named by the publication "Hollywood and Women" as one of 2017's ten best films written by, and about, women.
