1. I am loved: “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son (Jesus) that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life.” (John 3:16) 2. I am forgiven: “I am writing to you, dear children, because your sins have been forgiven on account of his name.” (I John 2:12) 3. I am a new creation in Christ: “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has passed away; the new has come.” (2 Corinthians 5:17) 4. I am chosen: “For he chose us in him, before the foundation of the world, to be holy and blameless in love before him.” (Ephesians 1:4) 5. I am adopted into the Kingdom of God: “He predestined us to be adopted as sons through Jesus Christ for himself, according to the good pleasure of his will.” (Ephesians 1:5) 6. I am a beloved child of God: “But to all who receive him, he gave them the right to be children of God, to those who believe in his name.” (John 1:12) 7. I am an heir of God: “We are God’s children, and co-heirs with Christ if indeed we share in his sufferings so that we may also share in his glory.” (Romans 8:17) 8. I am justified and redeemed: “They are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus.” (Romans 3:24) 9. I am a member of Christ’s body: “Now you are the body of Christ, and individual members of it.” (1Corinthians 12:27) 10.I am a branch of the true vine: “I am the vine; you are the branches. The one who remains in me and I in him produces much fruit because you can do nothing without me.” (John 15:5) 11.I am the temple of the Holy Spirit: “Don’t you know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own.” (1 Corinthians 6:19) 12.I am a friend of Jesus: “I do not call you servants anymore because a servant does not know what his master is doing. I have called you friends because I have made known to you everything I have heard from my father.” (John 15:15) 13.I am a sanctified saint: “To the church of God in Corinth, to those sanctified in Christ Jesus, called as saints, with all those in every place who call on the name of Jesus Christ our Lord—both their Lord and ours.” (1 Corinthians 1:2) 14.I am an ambassador for Christ: “Therefore, we are ambassadors for Christ since God is making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf: ‘Be reconciled to God.’” (2 Corinthians 5:20) 15.I am the righteousness of God: “He made the one who did not know sin to be sin for us so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.” (2 Corinthians5:21) 16.I am sealed with the Holy Spirit: “In him, you were sealed with the promised Holy Spirit when you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation, and when you believed.” (Ephesians 1:13) 17. I am holy and blameless: “For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be Holy and blameless in his sight.” (Ephesians 1:4) 18. I am seated with God in heavenly places: “But God being rich in mercy, because of his great love for us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—we are uplifted with him, as we are seated with him in heavenly places in Christ Jesus so that in the coming ages he might show the immeasurable riches of his grace in kindness toward us in Christ Jesus.”(Ephesians 2:4–7) 19. I am a fellow citizen with saints: “Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and strangers but fellow citizens with God’s people and members of his household built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus as the chief cornerstone.” (Ephesians 2:19,20) 20. I am, as my “Father said.” I am grateful for that alone. Amen.
