Dorothy Toran is the executive in charge of production and executive producer of “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” Bravo TV’s popular female ensemble docu-series. Previously, Dorothy served as the executive in charge of production at True Entertainment, a division of Endemol. She is an award-winning producer, whose work has been nominated for both an Emmy and the prestigious Palm D’or Award at The Cannes Film Festival. She has achieved great success at a multitude of media companies, including NBC Universal, Discovery Communications and Viacom. Dorothy has produced short form content for many brands, including The United Nations, Nike, Johnson and Johnson’s Clean and Clear, and The Washington Post. She exceeds at creating content from a business perspective while gracefully integrating creative storytelling, talent management and production logistics, to drive sustainable, compelling and highly rated programming. Dorothy’s career achievements include executive producing ‘TV One Night Only’ live from the Essence Music Festival, a two hour music special headlined by Beyoncé. She is a highly sought-after speaker, panelist and moderator. She has presented at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts and The Tribeca Film Festival. She recently was the recipient of the P.O.W.E.R. Creative Media and Entertainment Award, 2019. Dorothy is deeply committed to The Lupus Foundation of America. As the national ambassador for the organization, she leads The Color Me Happy Campaign, an aggressive awareness and stem cell initiative for lupus. Dorothy serves in this capacity to honor her younger sister, Weade Williams Bridges, who died suddenly from lupus in 2016. Besides her career and philanthropic endeavors, Dorothy is very proud of her Liberian American heritage, as well as being a wife and mother of two.
