Hello everyone! I am Desha Burns, a dedicated and results-oriented supply chain professional with a strong focus on accounts payable and collections management. I believe in achieving success through consistency, dedication, motivation, determination, and, most importantly, teamwork.
With over 22 years of experience in management, customer service, supply chain, collections, and accounting, I bring extensive knowledge to my role. I hold an associate degree in Applied Science in Supply Chain Management and have earned certifications in Lean Six Sigma concepts, transportation / logistics, purchasing / buying, and production planning. I am also a certified Green Belt in Six Sigma. Additionally, I take pride in being a member of The National Society of Leadership & Success and the Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society.
I am currently pursuing my bachelor's degree in supply chain and operations management (B.S. SCOM) and will follow with pursuit of my bachelor's in business management (B.S. in Business Administration) in the summer of 2025.
My primary goals in my field include ensuring total efficiency, optimizing, and standardizing logistics, focusing on quality improvement, enhancing flexibility, and monitoring overall financial success. I have a genuine passion for purchasing, negotiations, and identifying cost reduction opportunities. I take great pride in my strategic approaches, which have resulted in millions of dollars in savings.
