About Me

Deborah E. Adams has a Political Science degree from Delaware State University and over 10 years of experience in the education and humanities field. She is the founder of Great Potential Mentoring Association for socially and economically disadvantaged minors as well as children with disabilities,and has experience within the public school system working with disabled children in a high school setting. Mrs. Adams has also worked with elementary and middle school- aged children through the Carrera Youth Achievement Program of West End Neighborhood House, a program designed to promote the professional and personal success of its participants through exposure to job training and entrepreneurial skill building.  Additionally, Mrs. Adams champions the success of individuals with developmental disabilities for the neighborhood group home, V & T Residential Services of Bowie, MD as a member of its Quality Assurance Committee. Her role as a committee member is to ensure the protection of each individual's right to "personal choice" regarding services received. Mrs. Adams is especially elated to service V&T Residential Services as it was also the mentoring vehicle used to assist with the development of Family Ties Residential Services LLC. Currently, Mrs. Adams continues to devote her services to aiding humanity from all walks of life as a member of the ministerial body of the Church of God and Saints of Christ located in Wilmington, DE. She offers spiritual advice and guidance to congregants and community members through one-on-one counselling, women's empowerment workshops, social events and community outreach activities.
