I want to make EVERY WOMAN the most BEAUTIFUL VERSION OF THEMSELVES Everyone notices the effect a beautiful woman has entering a room and from a young age I wanted to understand her secret weapon. Then, when I was 13 I discovered mascara and personally experienced the power of makeup – I have been hooked ever since! I was born in London, but grew up in a wonderfully creative environment with my parents in bohemian Ibiza, surrounded by artists, actors, writers and musicians. My father is a painter and my mother is a luxury production manager, so I knew that I would do something creative too and when I met the inspirational makeup artist Mary Greenwell, I was inspired to train at the Glauca Rossi School of Makeup in London and pursue a career as a makeup artist. As a determined young makeup artist, I was persistent. I was constantly building my network of professional peers including photographers, models and stylists – many of whom I still work with today. The 1990s – the era of supermodels who epitomised glamorous beauty and really embraced hair and makeup artistry – were inspiring and formative for me. I believe that every woman wants to feel beautiful, powerful and sexy and that makeup is a great way to achieve this. Makeup gives you INSTANT CONFIDENCE. It’s about feeling as fabulous on the outside as you do on the inside. Give a woman the right makeup and she can conquer the world. I’m privileged to work with some of the most incredible people in the fashion and beauty industry – from the world’s best photographers like Mario Testino, Mert Alas & Marcus Piggot, Annie Leibowitz, David Bailey, Steven Klein, Michelangelo di Battista and Terry Richardson; A-list celebrities and models such as Kate Moss, Cara Delevingne, Naomi Campbell, Penelope Cruz, Amal Clooney and Natalie Portman to name but a few and of course not forgetting iconic publications like Vogue UK, US, Paris, China and Brazil, Vanity Fair, iD, GQ and many more.
