Carola Jain oversees marketing and brand strategy at Spartan Race Inc., the leading obstacle course racing company. She is the co-lead behind the global launch of Spartan Women, a female focused platform connecting women in sports and girls from all over the world by promoting camaraderie and empowerment. The community platform has been designed to cross borders, defy stereotypes and share the inspiring stories of women who overcome the challenges of everyday life. Prior to joining Spartan, Carola spent over 16 years at Interbrand. In her last role as senior director, she led brand strategy and analytics in the financial services and nonprofit practice, as well as oversaw Interbrand’s top 100 ‘Best Global Brands Study.’ Carola’s marketing track record includes the successful leadership and management of global brand teams across multi-disciplinary engagements. These include the launch of integrated marketing campaigns, extensive internal brand and organizational culture change programs as well as running large scale brand strategy, brand valuation, customer insights, analytics and brand architecture programs for clients such as American Express, Accenture, Apollo Management, AARP, Credit Suisse, Citigroup, DuPont, GE, JPMorganChase, Intel, L’Oreal, SAP, PBS, and Thomson Reuters. Having lived in four countries and traveled extensively, Carola is sensitive to the many cultural nuances that brands need to navigate in order to create compelling brand stories that are both universal and impactful. She serves on the Peggy Guggenheim advisory board and the WiST (Women in Sports Tech) advisory board. She is also a member of the Dean’s Council at Harvard’s Graduate School of Design and a trustee of the Jain Family Institute, a social incubator that primarily focuses on impacting complex societal structures by evaluating key contributing catalysts and launching high impact pilot programs. Carola lives in New York City with her family.
