She managed over 10 design/ build projects involving large scale site renovation. These projects ranged in duration from a year to upwards of five years. Claims management, scheduling and material procurement and technical assistance were all part of the scope of work. Material testing from soils, concrete, water discharge, and formwork were elemental components of projects. She managed a survey staff for construction layout of key projects. The key to a successful project lies in the management of information. Over the course of 27 years, Ms. Sanders has learned that document management is the key to keeping the client and the company successful. Project and management documents need to readily retrievable. Accounts payable and receivable, vendors, and projects all need a system of both digital and hardcopy access. Ms. Sanders has used data bases, and back up systems to assure that information is retrievable decades in the past or in the future. She assisted in the design of several large scale GIS projects where key field components such as RFIs or construction documents were linked with Auto CAD drawings. Digital data capture in surveying and water quality was essential with many clients needing daily downloads for reporting. Database development and archival of documents are key elements for project tracking.
