Barbara "Muffin" Pierce, Muffin is a nickname she has been labeled by her daughter. Ms. Pierce has resided in Columbus, Georgia for the last thirty-five years. She attended Delaware State University on a four year scholarship. Barbara has been writing short stories and poetry since she was a freshman in high school. She was a member of the Shades of Black Ensemble Drama Company of Newark, New Jersey where she became interested in acting and reciting her own poetry. Barbara has written for high school and college newspapers. She has written a number of short stories and published poems. In 2008, she wrote and published her first children's book entitled "May I Have an Alphabet Just One Day?" In 2009, Barbara founded Unique Euphony Publishing in hopes that this organization will give young people a chance to publish their creative writings at an affordable price.
