Urologist Dr. Ayme V. Schmeeckle, a native of Lutcher, Louisiana, earned her undergraduate degree in Biological Engineering from LSU in Baton Rouge and went on to receive her M.D. from the LSU School of Medicine in Shreveport in 2007. She performed her internship in General Surgery and her residency in Urology at LSU Health Sciences Center in Shreveport and upon her completion of those programs, joined the family of The Baton Rouge Clinic. Dr. Schmeeckle is board-certified in Urology and is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Louisiana. She is the Chief of Urology at the Baton Rouge General; as well as a member of the American Urological Association, the Louisiana State Urological Society, the Louisiana State Medical Society as well as the Society for Women in Urology. A member of St. Jude the Apostle Church Parish in Baton Rouge, Dr. Ayme Schmeeckle, and her husband have made Baton Rouge their home. Among her outside interests, Dr. Schmeeckle enjoys the brewing of beer in small batches.
