I am a passionate leader in the healthcare sector and take my role and accountabilities very seriously. I have vast experience, 14 years, successfully managing and directing union and non-unionized staff of varying sizes, from 30 to 130 staff at any given time during my career. My leadership style was built on grassroots experiences that shaped the way I lead, engage and treat others. I pride myself on always treating everyone with respect, recognition of talent and supporting personal and professional growth. I often hear that I am a firm but a fair leader, an approach which I actively work at maintaining. I strongly believe staff that work on the front line of healthcare have many of the answers leaders are searching for, we just need to engage and listen to them collectively.
