Ana Carolina Salazar is a native of Venezuela and the CEO & Founder of BOLD Hispanic Marketing Agency. BOLD's mission is to create meaningful connections between brands and the fast-growing U.S. Hispanic market in a culturally relevant way. In 2019, Ana Carolina founded BOLD after realizing there was a huge need to connect others with the Hispanic market. She discovered this need while running a campaign called “Color de Vida” for the “American Cancer Society” while working for Entravision. During that time, she realized that many Hispanic women were unaware of the support this organization could provide due to the lack of outreach to this segment. Ana Carolina gained much of her experience within the Hispanic market through her work with Entravision, a diversified global media, marketing, and technology company that reaches and engages Latino consumers in the U.S., and Prospera, a nonprofit organization that specializes in providing bilingual assistance to Hispanic entrepreneurs trying to establish or expand their business. Ana Carolina earned a Bachelor’s in Advertising and Public Relations from the University of Central Florida in 2010. Years later, she moved to Europe and completed a Master’s in Digital Marketing at the Universitat Autonoma of Barcelona in Spain. After completing her degree, Ana Carolina returned to Orlando, leaving behind the idea of working for a large company. With $295 in her pocket, she started her digital marketing consulting business from a small corner of her house. She immediately became a member of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando and a client of Prospera to help her formalize her business. Shortly after that, she founded BOLD. Her first client was her previous employer, Prospera. She developed a website and successful digital marketing campaigns for their annual cycling event, Tour Latino. She later worked as a grant provider, offering digital marketing services at a reduced cost, and is still a client today. During the pandemic, BOLD acquired the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of Metro Orlando as a client, providing them with services like website & social media management, content creation, email marketing, blogs, and graphic design. In 2021, Ana expanded her reach by starting a podcast called Hablamos Spanglish. The podcast acts as a meeting space to tell the stories behind many Hispanics who immigrated to the U.S. and started their lives from scratch, many unknown but with fascinating and noteworthy paths. Its purpose is to inspire other Latino immigrants, educate the general market through these stories, and showcase the positive impact they are making in the U.S. BOLD is also a certified Minority & Woman-Owned business with the State of Florida, Orange & Osceola Counties, and the City of Orlando. It is also a Blue Wave Supplier Development Program graduate, receiving a platinum badge, and an HCCMO Supplier Diversity Academy graduate.
