I was born and raised in Managua, Nicaragua. When I was 17, due to political turmoil and instability in Nicaragua, I fled and immigrated into the United States (US). After my arrival in the US, I had two children and was a single mother for several years. A few years later, after Nicaragua was more politically stable, I returned to be close to my family. I established a prominent business called Gabe’s Burgers at age 25 simultaneously attending Mobile University in Carazo, Nicaragua where I studied Marine Biology and Veterinary Sciences. Later, for my children’s safety, I returned back to the US where I continued my education at Florida International University where I obtained a Baccalaureate’s degree in Accounting and a minor in Management Information Systems while raising five children, with one of them being autistic. After I obtained my Baccalaureate degree, I established my second business, an accounting firm called MAS Tax, which later enabled me to venture into creating a real estate business. In addition to that, my passion for animals was still ever present allowing me to create a swimsuit line called Sun Bar collection that depicts different endangered animals and domestic pets in a unique fashion representation. I have been praised in television shows such as News Café and Despierta America for my unique designs and raising awareness for endangered animals. I have been happily married for 35 years and have a big and beautiful family that has played a huge role in my success. I hope other women can see my story and know that they can do it too.
