Sandrine Jewelry Collection - Pendants

Posted By: Sandrine Colson

Jewelry caught my interest many years ago and the vast majority of my jewelry creations are one of a kind. I’m always experimenting with new techniques and materials so my jewelry designs exhibit a wide variety of styles. Abstraction, materials, texture and colors are the inspiration for my work. I enjoy working with metal wire, glass beads, gemstones and pearls as well as polymer clay, enamel or other contemporary style painting. I draw further inspiration from the organized chaos of nature or art forms. Works come together on my bench as elements find each other through planning or improvisation due to their proximity, association or chance. I occasionally work with recycled objects such as discarded jewelry, stone pieces or chips, sea glass pieces, crystal elements from chandeliers, and more. I am inclined to produce asymmetric or symmetric pieces that are highly stylized, despite the unstructured nature of some of these elements, resulting in what I call organized chaos with an intent, creating wearable art.

Description

Love arts and crafts with all my heart

Hello,

I am originally from Provence, France and a world traveler. I have visited many countries in the Americas, Africa, Asia and Europe and lived in various parts of France, from Provence to Paris and the USA. All these experiences influence my work in many ways. My jewelry designs are exhibited in many craft shows and open studios as well as galleries or shops of the New England area. I am also a painter and mixed media artist (www.artofheart.com). I now reside in Boston (MA) and my studio is based in Charlestown (MA).

I have been doing arts and crafts throughout my life. I love the feeling of creating art or craft, the satisfaction and amazement that one can bring through color, beauty, materials, texture and emotion through a single piece of unique work, handmade. My jewelry pieces are very much inspired by my art work (color, abstraction, emotions and textures), thus, I like to see most of my pieces as "wearable art".

I decided to focus on developing my jewelry and other arts full time around October 2013. I am always looking for better high quality materials at reasonable prices, improving each design according to my customers' feedback, and making sure that your final piece is unique and the best that it can be.

Thus, I am always looking to keep learning and further my artistic style through my own studying, classes, but also and most importantly by connecting with other creative and innovative talented artists, craft women and men. I am passionate about what I do and making sure I keep learning to present you with the best design every time. I love arts and crafts with all my heart and I am sharing this love with you!

In addition to developing my own designs and business, I am always happy to teach a jewelry or art class, complete a repair or make a custom piece for anyone interested according to his/her own design or one of mine or another that could be uniquely created for you. I like thinking of my pieces as describing, directly, or indirectly, a story, and would love to design a piece that fits your personal story, either in a jewelry or a painting/mixed media piece.

My mission is to provide one-of-a-kind pieces that value the uniqueness in each of us.

I look forward to share my designs with you or make something unique for you!
